Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MyCharge mobile application, our power bank rental service, and any related websites or services (collectively, the "Service"). By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Who we are
MyCharge ("we", "us", "our") operates a power bank rental service that allows users to temporarily rent portable chargers ("power banks") from physical stations and return them to any compatible station.

2. Eligibility
To use the Service, you must:
- be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal majority in your country);
- have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- have a valid payment method accepted in the app; and
- comply with these Terms and applicable laws.
3. Your account
To rent a power bank, you must create an account and provide accurate, up-to-date information (such as your name, email address, and payment details).
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- You must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
4. Rentals and returns
You can start a rental by scanning the QR code on a station in the app and following the on-screen instructions. A rental ends when you properly return the power bank to a compatible station and the app confirms the return.
By starting a rental, you agree that:
- Rental time is calculated from the moment the power bank is released from the station until it is returned and successfully checked in.
- You remain responsible for the power bank until the return is confirmed in the app or via our backend systems.
- We may apply additional checks (e.g., "return verification" status) to confirm that the power bank has been inserted correctly.
5. Fees and payments
Pricing, including deposit amounts (if applicable), hourly rates, and maximum daily caps, is shown in the app before you confirm the rental.
- Payments are processed via third-party payment providers (such as Stripe).
- By adding a payment method, you authorize us and our payment providers to place pre-authorizations, charge, and refund amounts in accordance with the pricing shown in the app.
- We may charge additional fees (e.g., for late returns, loss, or damage) as described in these Terms or in the app.
6. Loss, theft, and damage
You must take reasonable care of the power bank while it is rented to you. You agree not to open, modify, or intentionally damage the device.
If a power bank is lost, stolen, or returned in a severely damaged condition, we may charge a replacement fee as indicated in the app or communicated to you.
7. Acceptable use
When using the Service, you agree that you will not:
- use the power banks or stations in a way that could damage, disable, or overburden the equipment;
- attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or disassemble any hardware or software;
- use the Service for any fraudulent, illegal, or unauthorized purpose;
- circumvent or attempt to circumvent any security or payment mechanisms;
- interfere with or disrupt other users or the Service infrastructure.
8. Service availability & maintenance
We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. From time to time, we may temporarily suspend rentals for maintenance, updates, or technical reasons. In such cases, the app may display a maintenance message and rentals may be temporarily disabled, while active rentals can still be completed where technically possible.
9. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied (including, without limitation, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement).
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MyCharge and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the total amount of fees you paid to us for rentals in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
10. Changes to the Service and Terms
We may update the Service and these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect changes in our products, technology, or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you (for example, via the app or email).
Your continued use of the Service after the updated Terms become effective means that you accept the changes.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time through the app or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if:
- you materially breach these Terms;
- we suspect fraudulent or abusive activity; or
- we decide to discontinue the Service.
In case of termination, you remain responsible for any outstanding fees or charges incurred before termination.
12. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where MyCharge is registered, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If local consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise, those protections will remain in force.
